Providing for Our Veterans
Support Our Troops—Not Just in Words, But in Action
Our service members make unimaginable sacrifices. They leave their families, travel across the world, and risk their lives to defend our freedoms. They step into danger not for wealth or fame—but because they believe in something bigger than themselves: protecting the values we hold dear.
They are patriots. They are heroes. And they deserve a government that honors that sacrifice—not just on Veterans Day, but every single day.
The Reality: Our Government Falls Short
Too often, the same government that sends troops to war abandons them when they return home.
Veterans face:
Long wait times and understaffed VA hospitals
Limited access to mental health care
Housing instability and homelessness
Underemployment and difficulty transitioning to civilian life
And yet, some in Washington are actively pushing to cut veterans' benefits—all while giving away massive tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans. That’s not just bad policy—it’s a disgrace.
What Veterans Deserve
When someone puts on the uniform, our promise to them should be absolute:
You will be taken care of when you return. No red tape. No excuses. No bills.
Here’s what I’ll fight for:
Comprehensive, world-class VA healthcare—free of charge—for life
Guaranteed access to mental health counseling and PTSD treatment
Expanded employment services, job training, and GI Bill protections
No benefit cuts—ever—for the sake of corporate tax giveaways
Safe and supportive transitional housing and support for unhoused veterans
Why Is Vital Legislation Still Sitting on a Desk?
Congress recently passed a bill to expand access to Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (RRTPs) for veterans battling mental health and substance use disorders. It has already passed both chambers with bipartisan support—but still hasn’t been signed into law.
If you believe in supporting our troops, you don’t delay action on critical veteran healthcare. You sign the bill. You get it done.
Words Are Easy. Real Support Takes Work.
I’m tired of politicians who wear a flag pin but vote against veterans’ healthcare.
I’m tired of performative patriotism that honors troops at parades but not in policy.
If we truly respect our veterans, we must invest in their care, their futures, and their families. No veteran should ever go without the services they need to live with dignity, health, and purpose.
That’s my commitment—and that’s what I’ll fight for in Congress.
