Ending A Genocide & Reimagining Our Role On The World Stage
My Stance & The Facts
For too long, U.S. foreign policy has prioritized expediency over principle. Both parties share responsibility for what we are witnessing in Gaza, where American weapons and funding have enabled a genocide to occur.
Hamas’s attacks on October 7th were horrific acts of terror, and its leaders must face justice. But justice does not stop there. The Netanyahu government’s indiscriminate assault on civilians in Gaza meets the definition of genocide under international law. By continuing to provide military aid, the United States has become complicit in this violence.
If America is to be a force for peace and stability, we must stand for human rights and international law, no matter who violates them.
Legislation I’d Propose
Suspend ALL military aid to governments engaged in war crimes, including Israel under its current leadership.
Support the International Criminal Court in pursuing accountability for all perpetrators of war crimes, including Bibi Netanyahu, Yoav Gallant, or the leaders of Hamas.
Redirect U.S. support toward diplomacy and humanitarian aid in the Middle East, rather than fueling cycles of violence.
Enforce strict oversight of U.S. arms sales, ensuring American weapons are never used in violations of international law.
Prioritize human rights in all foreign policy decisions, making accountability a baseline for alliances, not an afterthought.
