Today Was One of The Darker Days in Recent U.S. History

I was completely embarrassed by the actions that transpired in the Oval Office today. For those of you that did not see or have been off of social media, President Trump and JD Vance ganged up on President Zelenskyy. This was something right out of Putin‘s playbook.

The gall of these two men, who never stood for anything courageously in their life, trying to tell a freely elected leader of a democratic ally, what to do. I have never seen such a level of arrogance before.

But most of all, the realization that the United States is no longer the beacon of democracy around the world that it claims to be, was incredibly frustrating & disappointing. President Trump and his administration have sold us out to Russia. They have chosen to side with the totalitarian regime. One of the most thuggish, brutal, and inhumane ones in recent world history. That is a sad state of affairs for our country.

And worst of all, we are now being isolated from countries that we used to consider our allies. After the exchange in the Oval Office, which seems like a complete set up by Trump, leaders around the world proudly took to social media to publicly display their support of Ukraine. I am so ashamed and disappointed that we are not one of those countries showing support for a country that is fighting so valiantly To protect their homes.

Make no mistake about this. The United States role on the world stage has completely and forever changed due to the actions of Donald Trump since he took office, less than six weeks ago. He has shuttered USAID, And left a huge gap for a country to fill, and it will most likely be filled by China. Countries will now become trade partners and work closer with China instead of us, because this program has closed down.

Not only that, Donald Trump has now shown that he will not stand up to any dictator. He will allow them to take whatever they want and he will stand there and say, please don’t hurt me.

Donald Trump and JD Vance are pathetic cowards. They are without a doubt, the least courageous, most feeble, insecure, and weak men to ever occupy the offices of president and vice president. I just hope that our elected officials have enough courage inside of them to stand up and push back against the administration. To continue to work to provide Ukraine with the protection it needs, and that it most definitely deserves.

We should be on the side of Ukraine. They are fighting for what we as a country should preach: That no matter how imperfect a country may be, that they alone get to make the decisions that help shape the future of their country. Not an invading totalitarian regime.
